Avaya Appoints Mario Belanger as President of Canadian Operations

Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider of communicationsnetworks and services for business, today announced that it hasappointed Mario Belanger as President of Canadian Operations.Belanger will be responsible for directing Avaya Canada's sales andoperations, and providing strategic direction to expand thecompany's leadership and market share in Canada.

Belanger will be responsible for directing AvayaCanada's sales and operations, and providing strategic direction toexpand the company's leadership and market share in Canada.

An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in theCanadian market, Belanger joins Avaya from Paradyne Corporation,where he most recently served as president of Paradyne WorldwideCorporation and vice president of international sales. Beforejoining Paradyne, Belanger also held management positions at XeroxCanada and Bell Canada.

Belanger is a graduate of Bishop's University. He has receivednumerous sales excellence and leadership awards over the course ofhis career. A native of Montreal, Quebec, he currently lives withhis family in Markham, Ontario.
