Avaya Enterprise Connect Meets 'Secure Headquarters Capabilities'Need of Workers in Branch/Home Offices in Europe

Additionally, as increased traffic problems increase,governments are initiating changes in legislation to ease thedifficulty. A recent example of this took place in the UK, wherethe new Flexible Working (Procedural Requirements) Regulations 2002came into effect on April 6, 2003. The new legislation makes UKemployers legally responsible to consider applications from parentsto work flexibly. The legislation applies to parents with childrenunder the age of six, and of disabled children under the age of18.

Avaya Enterprise Connect extends the advanced features andcomplete functionality of Avaya MultiVantage™ CommunicationsApplications — including Internet Protocol (IP) telephony, contactcenter, unified communication and messaging — from a centrallocation to any size office or home in a distributed enterpriseover a secure, high-performance converged network.

Security is embedded in Avaya Enterprise Connect Solutions andoptimised by media encryption capabilities combined with AvayaVirtual Private Network Solutions. The solution set also providesbusiness continuity through local survivability, meaning thatinpidual networked locations are able to continue business asusual even if the wide area network or primary location goesdown.

This solution can be customized and is supported throughout thedeployment by Avaya Global Services which provides a single-pointof accountability for converged networks, including networkassessment, planning, design, implementation, management andmaintenance services.
