Avaya Expands IP Telephony and Convergence Offer Through ItsDistributors in Brazil


Avaya Inc. Avaya ranks number two worldwide, with 22 percent of the overallmarket for IP telephony — with Avaya's growth outpacing that of itscompetitors — and first in the United States in the IP-PBXtelephony market. The worldwide ranking is based on a report fromSynergy Research Group.1

In 2002, 25 percent of Avaya's sales in Brazil came fromindirect channels. Avaya hopes to increase sales from indirectchannels to 60 percent by the next year. The company's strategy isto expand its reach throughout Brazil without increasing its directsales force.
