  • a customer readiness survey tool, ExpertNetSM VoIPassessment tools and network continuity assessment for planning anddesign,

Stevens Industries, an Illinois-based manufacturer, worked withAvaya Global Services to plan, design and implement a convergednetwork with advanced applications designed to improve customerservice and production cycle times. Planning and Designing Convergence
The customer readiness survey tool used as part of anetwork assessment for Stevens Industries now collects datatailored specifically for IP telephony-readiness applications. Withno impact on network performance, the readiness survey tool usesnew delay measurements and router monitoring to calculate factorsaffecting QoS (delay, loss, and jitter) before network convergenceis implemented. End-to-end, link-to-link data is reported in easyto understand graphical summaries provided to the customer by AvayaNetwork Consultants.

In addition, the company's patented ExpertNetSMVoIP assessment tools now produce real-time QoS measurements bygenerating synthetic IP calls across the network over new VoIPassessment endpoints. Enhanced software diagnoses potential networkbottlenecks and can help analyze potential changes in networktraffic scenarios.

Avaya Global Services' network consulting practice now providesnetwork continuity assessments so enterprises can take fulladvantage of the resiliency of VoIP in communications continuityplanning.
