Avaya Selects Westcon as Distributor of Small and Medium-SizedBusiness Solutions in Canada

Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider of communicationsnetworks and services for business, today announced that WestconCanada Systems, Inc., a channel provider of networking technologyproducts and a subsidiary of Westcon Group Inc., has been selectedto distribute the entire line of Avaya small to medium businesssolutions, including the award-winning Avaya IP Office solution.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider ofcommunications networks and services for business, today announcedthat Westcon Canada Systems, Inc., a channel provider of networkingtechnology products and a subsidiary of Westcon Group Inc., hasbeen selected to distribute the entire line of Avaya small tomedium business solutions, including the award-winning Avaya IPOffice solution.

With offices in Montreal and Toronto, Westcon markets to over3,500 resellers across Canada and will support the complete line ofAvaya Voice and IP Telephony products targeted to the small tomedium-sized business (SMB) market through distribution, sales,marketing, and technical support. Westcon will distribute Avaya IPOffice, the PARTNER® Advanced Communications System (ACS) andMERLIN MAGIX® Integrated Communications System.

Westcon will support the Avaya SMB solutions by offeringtraining and certification to its resellers. In addition to beingable to drive their existing resources and experience from VodaOne, all Westcon staff are currently involved in an extensive Avayatraining program to achieve certification aimed at creating astrong foundation of support for the Canadian resellers.

Avaya IP Office is an "all-in-one" converged voice and datasystem for small and medium-sized businesses that can help acompany's workforce become more mobile and more productive throughan array of communications applications including voicemail,contact center, Internet access, and more.

Avaya IP Office is leading the market, with Avaya announcing itreached its 10,000th customer in June 2003.
