G.E.E! Communications Achieves Gold Certification Status with Avaya

The Gold certification is an industry-recognized designationthat indicates G.E.E! Communications has met a series of rigorouscriteria to ensure superior technical competency and the ability todeliver best-in-class customer service and support as measured byan independent survey organization.

One of the many companies that has benefited from G.E.E!Communication's superior customer service is Jackson National LifeInsurance Company® (JNL®), a $55-billion firm that averages between250,000 and 300,000 calls a month to its call centers in Denver,Colo., Lansing, Mich., Atlanta, Ga., and Appleton, Wis.

When a new financial services subsidiary created demands for aneven higher level of availability to customers, JNL turned toG.E.E! for a solution that would allow its Denver employees toaccept calls at home after normal business hours. G.E.E! providedJNL with an Avaya IP Softphone solution that allows remote workersto access telephony features from any laptop or personal computer,securely routing call control functions over the Internet. G.E.E!worked on a tight deadline to deploy the solution, completing theproject just before Denver was hit with a record-breaking snowstorm.

"We had employees who couldn't make it into the office, but theywere able to dial up via their home workstations," said JeffWhitlow, director of telecommunications for JNL. "During the worstsnowstorm in 90 years, we were able to continue to take calls andsupport the business, and the switch was totally transparent to thecaller," Whitlow said.

In addition to the IP Softphone project, JNL contracted withG.E.E! Communications to integrate Avaya contact center hardwareand software with a call recording application from NICE Systems,allowing JNL to document contact center calls and screen shots tomeet regulatory requirements and to support training and qualitycontrol.

Based on their success, Whitlow has chosen G.E.E! to extend theintegrated call recording application to include JNL's affiliate,National Planning Corporation.
