German Financial Services Provider Selects Avaya IP™ Solutions forits Multi-media Contact Centre and Telephony Server

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of communicationsnetworks and services for businesses, today announced that EurohypoAG, Frankfurt, a German financial services provider, has selectedAvaya IP solutions for its Multi-Media Contact Centre and branchoffice locations.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider ofcommunications networks and services for businesses, todayannounced that Eurohypo AG, Frankfurt, a German financial servicesprovider, has selected Avaya IP solutions for its Multi-MediaContact Centre and branch office locations.

The agreement is to be completed in two phases. The first phasecovers the implementation of the Avaya™ Interaction Centre solutionin Eurohypo's three service centres in Germany in 2003. The secondphase, planned for completion by early 2005, comprises theinstallation of Avaya G600 and G700 Media Gateways in the bank'slocations across Germany and Europe. The project is being managedby Telefonbau Fiebig, an Authorised Avaya Business Partner,in co-operation with consulting company partnerteams.

Eurohypo selected an Avaya Media Server for its high levels ofperformance and reliability, as well as for its ability to providecentralised, corporate-wide communications applications whileproviding management and support to the entire organisation. Inaddition to unifying all Eurohypo's German branches, Avaya's IPtelephony technology will assist Eurohypo in reducingadministration, maintenance and training costs by linking eachbranch and office onto a single network, easily manageable from onelocation. The scalability of Avaya's products also offers moreflexibility to add new applications, locations and people in thefuture.

The Avaya™ Interaction Centre solution will be used to meetEurohypo's challenging customer service requirements, allowing forthe effective personalisation, management and analysis ofinpidual customer contacts across all communication channels(including fax, e-mail, telephone and Internet). The Avayatechnology will combine Eurohypo's three existing service centresinto a single virtual contact centre enhancing the company'sresources whilst maintaining optimised customer service. Customerservice representatives will have easy access to customer detailsat any time, via the caller's preferred communication channel,enabling them to improve customer satisfaction through the fasterand more effective handling of enquiries.
