One of the First Achievements in Japan
Support for web browsers (Internet Explorer, etc.) as a unifiedmessaging client

Generally, unified messaging solutions use Microsoft Outlook as aclient. With cooperation from Microsoft, the three companies' jointdevelopment will enable support for a standard web browser (such asInternet Explorer) to access to the system — a first in theindustry. By utilizing a web browser, companies are able to lowerthe cost of implementation and maintenance and users have the sameworking environment as they would at their own desk no matter wherethey go. The integrated messaging system and in-house portal sitemake it easier and quicker for employees to access information theyneed such as voice mail, e-mail, fax mail, authorization systemsand time and attendance systems, which result in improvingefficiencies through smooth communication and informationsharing.

Basic features of the new system

  • Enables more smooth communication with the use of convergedvoice, e-mail and fax.
    • Employees can send and receive fax messages at their desk.
    • Users can check voice messages from a PC on the desk or on theroad as well as with an office telephone.
  • Improves efficiency to deliver and share information with"EasyPortal."
    • Voice mail, fax and e-mails can be retrieved via "EasyPortal".Other functions such as bulletin board, scheduler are seamlesslyintegrated.
