The NBA Draft will take place at theTheater at Madison Square Garden in New York City and will betelevised live on ESPN and NBA on ESPN Radio beginning at 7:00 p.m.ET.

By simply plugging in a small wireless card to the side of theirlaptop computers and installing a software program, reporters willbe able to securely connect to the NBA's wireless local areanetwork (LAN) to provide speedy news updates. The NBA and Avaya aremaking the wireless cards available to journalists who attend theevent.

Avaya is the Official Converged Communications and ServicesProvider for the 2003 NBA All-Star Game and the recent NBA Playoffsand Finals. In support of these events, Avaya Global Services workswith the NBA information technology team to design, build andmanage IP-enabled wireless solutions that can be set up and takendown quickly to provide "event-in-a-box" implementation for theseason's multiple-venue game series.
