Avaya Awarded Contact Centre Supplier of the Year Award 2004 inDublin


Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of businesscommunications software, systems and services, has been namedContact Centre Supplier of the Year in Ireland.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services, has been named Contact Centre Supplier of the Year in Ireland.

The Irish Contact Centre Association made the award to Avaya at its annual awards ceremony in Dublin. The judging panel recognised Avaya's broad and longstanding contribution of communications solutions to the contact centre industry in Ireland, specifically citing the company's innovative nature, its ability to live up to its client's business challenges and its overall reliability. Among the contact centres cited for the award were Bank of Ireland 365, Conduit, HP, IBM, O2 and VHI Healthcare.

Increasingly, Avaya is providing multimedia solutions to contact centres so that the customer can receive customer support by telephone as well as via other media such as e-mail, fax, webchat and text message to suit customer needs.

Commenting on the award, John Sharpe, director of Avaya in Ireland said: "Ireland employs about 40,000 people in over 200 call and contact centres which makes a significant contribution to the economy. Avaya is excited to be recognised for its part in providing this industry with the latest technologies that help businesses deliver increased efficiency, productivity and above all, better customer service."
