Avaya China to Hold Its First Nation Wide Customer Forum

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services, today announced that Avaya Connect 2004, its first nationwide customer forum in China, will be held from October 28 to 29 in Beijing, China.

The forum, with the theme "Optimize Your Enterprise", will focus on how to leverage enterprise communications to reduce costs, lower risks, and grow revenue. Experts from Avaya and the industry will share views on the status and trend of enterprise communication, and discuss how to move to IP telephony in a most cost effective way.

Ravi Sethi, President of Avaya Labs, will talk about Avaya vision into the converged networks, and how by optimizing the enterprise through communications, customers are finding new ways of doing business. Mr. Jorge Blanco, Avaya Vice President of Product and Channel Marketing, through practical demonstration, will describe how Avaya solutions put communications at the command of the customer to achieve higher productivity and lower costs. The audience will also get to know how Avaya Global Services can help enterprises seamlessly migrate to IP Telephony.

Avaya customers from both the World and China will share their experiences in adoption of IP Telephony, and the building of efficient contact centers. IDC will give a presentation on the application status and trend of IP Telephony in China market.

Apart from the main auditorium in the mornings, there will be two breakout sessions in the afternoons on IP Telephony and Contact Center Applications respectively. Demos, exhibitions and on-site customer visit will also be organized during the two days. The forum expects to have an audience of up to 500 customers, government officers, analysts and media.
