Avaya and Ingram Micro China Working Together To Tackle Local Small and Medium Business Market

Avaya and Ingram Micro China Ltd. have started a business collaboration to bring world leading Internet Protocol Telephony solutions to China's small and medium businesses.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services, and Ingram Micro China Ltd. have started a business collaboration to bring world leading Internet Protocol Telephony solutions to China's small and medium businesses. Ingram Micro China will resell the full product line of Avaya IP Office solutions in China, and the companies will participate in joint marketing and customer services.

IP Office, an "all-in-one" office communication solution that brings together voice, data and communications applications, is a flagship product of Avaya for small and medium businesses (SMB) as well as branch offices of larger enterprises. Ingram Micro Inc. is the world's largest technology distributor with an extended distribution and service network in China. The cooperation between the two will accelerate deployment of voice/data converged networks among China's SMB customers.

IP telephony is software-based technology that uses Voice over the Internet Protocol (VoIP) to transmit voice as data over a computer network. Businesses are adopting this rapidly emerging technology - which includes features such as call forwarding, conferencing, voice messaging and other applications - to enhance the capability of their communication network and reduce costs.

Avaya and Ingram Micro China will work together in the areas of marketing, channel, training and services. Ingram Micro will resell the full portfolio of Avaya IP Office solutions, including IP Office - Small Office Edition, IP Office 403, IP Office 406 and IP Office 412.

Avaya IP Office provides the sophistication of big business voice and data communications at an affordable price. IP Office is easy to install and easy to manage with a unified operation interface in Chinese. The system can also be easily expanded as a business grows.
