Six of Avaya's Top-Performing BusinessPartners Earn"BusinessPartner of the Year" Honor

As part of its annual multi-channel sales performance recognition program, Avaya named six North America resellers as its BusinessPartner of the Year winners.

As part of its annual multi-channel sales performance recognition program, Avaya (NYSE: AV), a global provider of communications software, systems and services, named six North America resellers as its BusinessPartner of the Year winners.

"Our channel partners are an important extension of our sales force, and the resellers we recognized have shown their expertise in enabling their customers to take advantage of innovative technology and advanced features from Avaya," said Todd Meister, vice president, North America Channels, Avaya. "Our North American winners demonstrated the ability to develop innovative solutions and execute with the highest levels of customer satisfaction. In fact, every BusinessPartner we recognized achieved impressive and significant levels in customer service and revenue generation."

The annual BusinessPartner of the Year award is presented to certified Avaya BusinessPartners that meet Avaya benchmarks for top performance in ensuring customers have a consistent, quality experience, whether they buy direct from Avaya or indirect, through an Avaya reseller.

Avaya recognized the top national and regional channel partners in the following categories: BusinessPartners of the Year; Pillars of Leadership, for consistent, significant growth or revenue contribution; Emerging Leaders, for high growth in emerging Avaya partners; highest growth rate in serving small and medium businesses, including Avaya IP Office solutions, Avaya's flagship convergence solution for small and medium businesses; and awards for sales utilizing Avaya Financial Services.

The 2004 BusinessPartner of the Year award was presented to Cross Telecom Corporation (Platinum certified, Eden Prairie, Minnesota), Communication Is World InterActive Networking (C=WIN) (Platinum certified, Chamblee, Georgia); G.E.E.! Communications (Gold certified, Lansing, Michigan); Maron Structure Technologies (Platinum certified, Niles, Illinois); Nicom Technologies, Inc. (Platinum certified, Syracuse, New York); and Platinum Communications, Inc. (Silver certified, Somerset, New Jersey).

To earn the top award, BusinessPartners were required to achieve a 90 percent customer satisfaction rate, as well as demonstrate industry leadership and meet revenue goals.

Cross Telecom grew 72% overall, with 87% growth in sales of solutions from Avaya's Enterprise Communications Group (ECG), which provides solutions designed for medium/large businesses, and 109% growth in sales of Avaya solutions from the Avaya Small and Medium Business Solutions (SMBS) group; C=WIN achieved significant new customer sales and grew 64% in Avaya sales, with a 490% growth in providing solutions from Avaya Global Services; G.E.E.! achieved 128% growth in Avaya Global Services; Maron Structure rose from Silver to Platinum certification and grew 164% in total Avaya sales, with 534% growth in Avaya Global Services; Nicom rose from Silver to Platinum certification, grew 123% in sales of Avaya solutions, with a 212% growth in ECG sales; and Platinum Communications achieved the highest customer satisfaction score of 96%, and grew 123% in sales from Avaya's Enterprise Communications Group.

Avaya also presented the following awards:

  • Pillars of Leadership, for consistent, significant growth — North American Communication Resources (NACR) (Platinum certified, Eagan, Minnesota); Strategic Products and Services (Platinum certified, Cedar Knolls, New Jersey; Phonextra (Platinum certified, Fairfield, New Jersey); NetVersant National, Inc. (Platinum certified, Houston), and Source, Inc., (Platinum certified, Dallas);
  • Emerging Leaders, to smaller BusinessPartners who attained Avaya certification, and reached customer service and sales goals — New England Communications, Inc. (Silver certified, Portland, Maine); Quagga LLC (Silver certified, Folsom, California);
  • Sales achieved with Avaya Financial Services — Cross Telecom; NACR; Strategic Products and Services; Phonextra; DJJ (Platinum certified, Islandia, New York); Matrix Technologies (Platinum certified, Washington, D.C.); C=WIN; G.E.E! Communications; Technology Solutions Group (Platinum certified, Wheaton, Illinois); Unified TelData, (Platinum certified, San Francisco); and
  • Small and medium business sales performance — Juma Technology (Silver certified, Farmingdale, New York); Cross Telecom.
