Avaya Names EMEA Channel Team Leader


Avaya announced the appointment of Moreno Ciboldi as vice presidentIndirect Channels for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications software, systems and services, today announced the appointment of Moreno Ciboldi as vice president Indirect Channels for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Ciboldi assumes this role in addition to his current position as vice president, Sales, Small and Medium business for the region. He will be based out of Avaya's office in Milan, Italy, and reports to David Winn, vice president, EMEA.

Ciboldi joined Avaya in 2003 from Alcatel where he held the position of vice president Sales Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for the Enterprise Business. In this position he was responsible for both direct and indirect sales of enterprise equipment data, voice and applications for the small, medium and large market, carriers and large accounts. Previously, Ciboldi was Area Director, Southern Europe, Enterprise Business at Alcatel Italia where he oversaw sales across 15 European markets. Prior to that, Ciboldi worked for Xylan, Inc as Area Director Southern Europe, Fibronica Srl as General Manager, Pirelli Cable and Olivetti Group.

David Winn, vice-president for Avaya in EMEA commented "The adoption of IP telephony and associated applications by businesses - both large and small - is growing exponentially. Between 1984 and 1986, Ciboldi served in the Military as an Official in Anti Aircraft Artillery. He read Nuclear and Opto-Electronics Science at Milan Polytechnic. He is fluent in both Italian and English.
