Avaya Selects DCC as Emergency Notification Provider

DCC announced that Avaya has selected the company as its emergency notification provider.

DCC (Dialogic Communication Corporation) today announced that Avaya (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, has selected the company as its emergency notification provider.

DCC's web-based notification software, Communicator! NXT, will help Avaya maintain business continuity during critical and routine situations alike by quickly sharing information between their worldwide offices. The technology automatically distributes critical messages to management, employees and other emergency teams and gathers all-important feedback, vital to quick and appropriate response.

"We were seeking an emergency notification solution that would effectively handle multiple outage scenarios, multiple call trees and multiple communications devices to ensure swift, optimal and efficient information-sharing," said Clyde Berger, Global Director of Business Continuity for Avaya. "Communicator! NXT provides us these capabilities while hosting our data in a protected environment. We look forward to continued collaboration with DCC as a trusted and capable business partner."

Powered by Microsoft®.NET™ and SQL technologies, Communicator! NXT is web-based notification software that can be safely and securely accessed via the Internet and Microsoft® Internet Explorer web browser. The software rapidly distributes voice or text messages using all types of communications devices (e.g. phone, pager, Blackberry). It also captures responses and provides detailed reports for a full audit trail.

DCC is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program - an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology, thereby extending the value of a company's investment in the Avaya network.

As a member of the DeveloperConnection Program, DCC's notification solutions work seamlessly with Avaya Communications Manager – the company's flagship enterprise communications software and part of the Avaya MultiVantage™ Communications Applications portfolio. Companies using or interested in Avaya Communication Manager can easily incorporate DCC's Communicator! NXT software for automated emergency notification and increased business continuity readiness.

"In today's business world, a top-notch business continuity program is essential, especially when you are a company of the stature of Avaya," said Gene Kirby, DCC's president and CEO. "Avaya works with more than one million businesses, many of which are the most elite corporations in the world today. As a member of their DeveloperConnection Program, DCC has had an outstanding relationship with Avaya for several years, and we look forward to continuing it as their emergency notification provider."

Publicly traded and privately held companies around the globe use DCC's emergency notification technology for a variety of business continuity communications needs.
