U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to Bring Avaya's Communications Capabilities for Small, Medium Businesses to Hispanic-Owned Companies

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and Avaya announced they will work together to bring Avaya's communications portfolio for small and medium businesses to Hispanic-owned companies nationwide.

The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and Avaya (NYSE:AV), a global leader in business communications applications, systems and services, today announced they will work together to bring Avaya's communications portfolio for small and medium businesses to Hispanic-owned companies nationwide. The USHCC's membership includes 150 local Hispanic chambers of commerce, representing more than 80,000 Hispanic-owned businesses.

 

Through its relationship with the USHCC, Avaya will provide financial incentives the national and local Hispanic chambers of commerce can use to develop programs that advance the productivity, proficiency and growth of Hispanic-owned businesses. Avaya also will support national and local chamber events, including small business seminars and other educational opportunities.

 

To support the development of the Hispanic-owned SMB business segment, Avaya will recruit and train technology partners with Spanish speaking sales and technical resources to deliver Avaya solutions in a number of key states.

 

Hispanic-owned companies are one of the fastest-growing segments of the small and medium business (SMB) marketplace today, with more than 2 million Hispanic-owned firms generating more than US$225 billion in revenues. ¹

 

The Avaya-USHCC agreement was announced here today at the USHCC's Annual Convention. Avaya also announced it has joined the USHCC as a corporate member.
