Avaya’s Chairman To Outline Rewards Companies Will Reap By Linking Intelligent Communications to Business Processes

Avaya chairman and chief executive officer Don Peterson will use his keynote address at VoiceCon 2006 to discuss how the possibilities enabled by IP telephony and Intelligent Communications applications can help businesses establish a competitive advantage. 

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Avaya chairman and chief executive officer Don Peterson will use his keynote address at VoiceCon 2006 to discuss how the possibilities enabled by IP telephony and Intelligent Communications applications can help businesses establish a competitive advantage.  Avaya Inc. Scheduled for March 6-9 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla., VoiceCon is a leading conference and exhibition for thousands of attendees responsible for their firms’ voice, IP telephony and convergence solutions.  Avaya is the Diamond Sponsor of the event, as well as a sponsor of VoiceCon’s March 6-7 “conference within a conference” on next-generation contact centers. 


Peterson is keynoting at the annual conference for the third time. • Keynote Address: How Can We Use IP Telephony to Help the Business Meet its Goals for Growth, Cost-Reduction and Protection from Disruptions?  Avaya Chairman and CEO Don Peterson will offer real-world examples of how today’s businesses are using intelligent communications applications to make their workforces more mobile and their customer operations more effective – while simultaneously eliminating costs and increasing productivity.   March 8, 9:00 a.m.

 

• IP Telephony System RFP:  Who Delivers the Goods?  Jim Cantwell, director, IP Global Practice, Avaya, will participate in a panel discussion on how companies can alleviate the pain associated with the request for proposal (RFP) process when purchasing new communications systems.  March 6, 9 a.m.

 

• Executive Forum: Why IP Contact Centers?  Eileen Rudden, VP/GM, Communications Applications pision, Avaya, will participate in a roundtable discussion on the technology trends in contact centers and the risks and rewards involved in moving to IP.  March 6, 1:30 p.m.

 

• User Forum: Living with Next-Gen Contact Centers.  Avaya customer Ed Russell, senior technical manager, AOL, will participate in a forum focused on the experiences of companies that have migrated to next-generation technologies for contact centers.  March 6, 3:15 p.m.

 

• User Forum: Living with IP Telephony. Jamie Libow, an Avaya customer and director of Voice Operations for St. Paul Travelers, will describe his experiences in migrating the company’s network to IP telephony.  March 7, 10:30 a.m.

 

• Voice Over Wi-Fi.  Dave LeClair, director, Technology Partnerships, Avaya, will speak on how to implement an effective strategy for voice over wireless LAN. March 7, 2:15 p.m.

 

• Executive Forum:  IP Telephony–How Broad a Platform and Supporting What? Jorge Blanco, VP, Strategic Marketing, Avaya, will join a forum to discuss how companies can use their IP telephony platform to support of a new generation of applications and capabilities.  March 7, 4:15 p.m.

 

• Intelligent Communications from Small Business to the Largest Enterprise.  Lawrence Byrd, director of IP Telephony and Mobility, Avaya, will conduct a product briefing on a new solution designed for very small businesses and branch offices.  March 7, 5:00 p.m.

 

• Peer-to-Peer’s Role in Enterprise IP Telephony Networks. Mahshad Koohgoli, VP, Peer-to-Peer Business, Avaya, will discuss how businesses can use peer-to-peer technology in an enterprise environment.   March 8, 8:00 a.m.

 

• SIP and Today’s IP Telephony Market.    Gabriel Campos-Woslavsky, director, Product Management, Converged Systems pision, Avaya, will focus on the role of SIP in enterprise communications.  March 8, 1:00 p.m.

 

• Customer Panel: IP Telephone Productivity Applications.  Avaya customer JP Ayache, Wynn Resorts, will share how his company is using browser-based IP phone applications to improve service to its customers.   March 8, 1:00 p.m.

 

Partner Pavilion at Booth 517 Highlights Avaya-Compatible Applications


An Avaya Partner Pavilion in Booth 517 will feature members of the Avaya DeveloperConnection program – an initiative to promote the development of innovative, third-party products that interoperate with Avaya and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.
