Virtual Hold Technology Selected for Membership in Avaya DeveloperConnection Program

Virtual Hold Technology has been selected by Avaya for membership in the Avaya DeveloperConnection program.

AKRON, OHIO – Virtual Hold Technology, a leading provider of Virtual Queuing solutions, today announced it has been selected by Avaya Inc. (NYSE: AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, for membership in the Avaya DeveloperConnection program.

 

Virtual Hold Technology is the developer of Virtual Hold, a software suite that provides an enterprise Virtual Queuing solution for contact centers. Rather than wait on hold, customers can choose to hang up the phone, maintain their place in the calling queue and receive a callback just as promptly as if they had remained on the line. Customers also can use the Internet to place their phone number in the contact center's calling queue, receiving a callback when it’s their turn, or they can schedule a convenient callback time. The Virtual Hold solution interoperates with Avaya Communication Manager IP telephony and contact center software to help businesses increase the operational effectiveness of their contact centers and improve customer satisfaction by providing positive customer experiences.
 
The Avaya DeveloperConnection program promotes the development, compliance-testing and co-marketing of innovative third-party products that are compatible with standards-based Avaya solutions. Member organizations have expertise in a broad range of technologies that includes IP telephony, contact centers and mobility applications – helping companies extend the value of multivendor networks and transform voice into a business application that delivers true value to the bottom line.

Through the DeveloperConnection program, Avaya provides a number of tools and capabilities to member companies.  One example is Application Enablement Services (AES)—a set of application programming interfaces, protocols and Web services that makes it easier for developers to create Avaya-compatible networks, devices and applications.

Free Registered membership is available to all without restriction. Higher-level Innovator, Premier and Strategic members must meet rigorous Avaya criteria for customer satisfaction, product support, business operations, marketing and sales.
