Avaya Appoints Matthew Booher Vice President, Treasury and Investor Relations


Avaya announced it has appointed Matthew Booher Vice President, Treasury and Investor Relations.

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. - Avaya Inc., (NYSE: AV) a leading global provider of business communications applications, software and services, today announced it has appointed Matthew Booher Vice President, Treasury and Investor Relations.


In this position, Booher adds leadership of Avaya's treasury organization to his role of directing Avaya's investor relations group.


"With Matt Booher now heading the treasury and investor relations organizations, Avaya's shareholders will benefit from his expanded market-facing leadership," said Caroline Dorsa, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Avaya. "He will drive a deeper understanding among key constituents of how Avaya's business strategy benefits our customers and translates into expanded market opportunities."


Before joining Avaya in 2004, Booher was senior vice president, finance and pision CFO for Broadwing, Inc. and also was the company's vice president of investor relations. He held key financial leadership positions with Spherion Corporation and MCI Communications.


He has an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Business Administration, Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University.
