Avaya and SingTel Collaborate to Bring Singapore's First Managed IP Solution to Enterprises

Avaya and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) announced a collaboration to provide a managed IP solution to enterprises in Singapore.

Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV), a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services, and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) today announced they have collaborated to jointly provide a managed IP solution to enterprises in Singapore. This is the first time a managed IP solution is made available in Singapore.

 

Branded as SingTel Managed IP PBX, the solution enables enterprises to enjoy innovative IP-based unified communications applications with the option of not incurring high upfront and maintenance costs. A scalable solution, it offers an attractive utility-based option as well as other options to meet the varying current and future needs of the enterprise.


Under this collaboration, Avaya is providing its world leading communications capabilities to the solution, including IP Telephony, voice message, mobility, modular messaging, audio, web and video conferencing, as well as Communications Manager - Avaya's next-generation call processing software - and Avaya One-X™ Mobile software.

 

SingTel will provide a comprehensive solution comprising of IP communications solution, connectivity and managed services that brings together all of a business’ communications needs in an integrated offering.

 

Radiance Communications, Avaya's regional business partner, will provide its IP deployment and maintenance expertise to this solution.

 

Supporting a mix of analogue and selected digital and IP phones, this solution helps minimize the cost of changing the enterprise's legacy communications network to the next generation communications solution to keep pace with new business needs and challenges.

 

Medium to large enterprises stand to gain the most as the solution can be highly customized to meet any business need.

Besides connecting to the telephone network on SingTel's ISDN-10 and 30 services, enterprises can choose to deploy a totally converged Wide Area Network (WAN) solution through SingTel's next generation IP-VPN network without having to subscribe separately to ISDN lines. This is enabled through the latest SIP Trunking technology which connects IP PBX directly to the telephone network through IP-VPN. SIP Trunking access is available on SingTel IP-VPN services both locally and overseas. Customers can derive even more value from converged WAN solutions.
