Cicero Solution Now Rated Avaya Compliant

05-21-2008

Cicero software has successfully completed testing to be rated compliant with Avaya Communication Manager and Avaya IP Agent solutions.

CARY, N.C. - Cicero Inc. (BB:CICN), a leading provider of desktop integration and automation solutions, today announced that Cicero software has successfully completed testing to be rated compliant with Avaya Communication Manager and Avaya IP Agent solutions. Avaya is a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

Cicero software goes beyond more typical server-based solutions by non-invasively leveraging the interaction between the applications and the platform on which they run. This unique approach allows companies to integrate applications regardless of their platform and automate processes in a matter of days and weeks, not months. Using Cicero, organizations can:

  • Automate workflow
  • Integrate and enable business applications such as CRM, Web, Windows, and legacy
  • Create new composite applications from the existing applications
  • Create and consume web services and extend the functionality of legacy systems in support of a Service-Oriented Architecture

Additionally, Cicero allows organizations to consolidate data, streamline business processes, enforce rules and compliance requirements, and add additional functionality such as single sign-on without having to purchase new applications. Cicero has been compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with the Microsoft Windows environment.

"By completing this compliance testing, we join Avaya in providing a more cost effective, integrated solution to customers. Cicero extends the functionality of both Communication Manager and IP Agent by providing desktop integration to web, legacy, CRM, Windows and other types of application platforms without writing additional application code," stated John Broderick, CEO of Cicero, Inc. "Cicero allows organizations to rapidly integrate either Communication Manager or IP Agent with other applications at the desktop to improve workflow and end user productivity."

Cicero is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program - an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, Cicero is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Cicero who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
