Cleo's Host Interface and Transaction-Based Processing Solutions Now Rated "Avaya Compliant"

01-24-2008

Cleo Communications announced that its Host Interface and Transaction-Based Processing products are compliant with key Interactive Response solutions from Avaya.

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Cleo Communications, a leading provider of data communications products and services since the mid 1980's, today announced that its Host Interface and Transaction-Based Processing products are compliant with key Interactive Response solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

The Cleo Host Interface and Transaction-Based Processing products help businesses connect mainframe and midrange data to modern Interactive Response applications. The products now are compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Interactive Response 3.0.

"Cleo is proud to successfully complete Avaya's compliance testing program," states Todd Enneking, vice president of Engineering for Cleo Communications. "Our customers directly benefit through the promotion of open, standards-based platforms, which help them incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively while also leveraging possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure."

One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of Cleo Communications and Avaya solutions is Citigroup China. Echo Cao, with the Distributed Technology Infrastructure of Citibank China, works with the system on a day-to-day basis. She explains, "The Cleo TN3270 software is very useful and efficient. It ensures the Avaya Interactive Response system remains stable. If a problem occurs with the Avaya system, it is extremely easily to troubleshoot to find the root cause using the Cleo log files."

Cleo Communications is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program - an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, Cleo Communications is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Cleo Communications that are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
