NMS Adaptive Contact Center Now Rated "Avaya Compliant"

New Media Software announced that its Adaptive suite of products is compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions for small and mid-sized businesses from Avaya.

EASTLEIGH, Hampshire U.K. - New Media Software, a leading provider of call and contact center applications, today announced that its Adaptive suite of products is compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions for small and mid-sized businesses from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

The Adaptive suite of applications increases business productivity in a number of ways, from improving outbound call productivity to multimedia inbound call handling via voice, email, fax, short message service (SMS) and Web chat. The applications now are compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya IP Office 4.0, a high-performance voice and data server for the telephony, messaging, networking, conferencing and customer management needs of small to mid-sized companies.

Phill McGowan, managing director of New Media Software said, "By adopting open standards, Avaya allows businesses to incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and uncover new possibilities for getting more out of their communications infrastructure. For example, the Adaptive suite of contact center applications opens up new opportunities for thin-client environments, while Adaptive computer telephony integration (CTI) is able to work in Citrix and Terminal Services environments.

"Achieving Avaya Compliance also means that resellers can address new markets by offering multimedia Adaptive Messaging and Adaptive Contact Center applications that augment the functionality provided by the Avaya IP Office Compact Contact Center."

New Media Software is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program, an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, New Media Software is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure, speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like New Media Software who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
