Tango Networks Abrazo Solution Certified "Avaya Compliant"

02-13-2008

Tango Networks announced that its Tango Abrazo is compliant with key IP telephony solutions from Avaya.

Mobile World Congress 2008, Barcelona, Spain - Tango Networks™, the leading provider of seamless enterprise fixed-mobile convergence solutions, today announced that its Tango Abrazo™ is compliant with key Internet protocol (IP) telephony solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

The Tango Abrazo helps businesses extend the power and functionality of their Avaya communications system to any mobile phone, without changes in end-user behavior or clients on mobile phones. Tango Abrazo is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Communication Manager, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Enablement Services, Application Enablement Services, Modular Messaging, and Intuity Audix Messaging Application. In addition, Tango Abrazo has also been tested with the Avaya 2400 Series Digital Phones and the Avaya 1600, 4600 and 9600 Series IP Telephones.

"Tango Networks' vision is to make it easy for enterprises to integrate fixed-mobile convergence into their existing telecommunications networks, to help those businesses gain a competitive edge through increased worker productivity and accessibility," stated Andrew Silver, co-founder and chief technology officer for Tango Networks. "Avaya is an integral part of many enterprises' telecommunications infrastructure. This compliance provides Avaya customers with the assurance that they can easily and cost-effectively add the power of Tango Networks’ Abrazo within their communications network to deliver fixed-mobile convergence to any employee mobile phone without requiring mobile clients or new, expensive handsets."

Tango Networks is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program - an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, Tango Networks is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like Tango Networks who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available – getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."

Tango Networks is demonstrating the Abrazo at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, February 11–14 in Hall 2, Level 1, Stand C69.
