Avaya Triples Channel Team in Australia to Fuel Business Growth

Avaya has tripled its local channel team during the past three months to support its channel-centric go-to-market model in Australia.

SYDNEY, Australia – Avaya, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, has tripled its local channel team during the past three months to support its channel-centric go-to-market model in Australia. Avaya South Pacific today announced the promotion of an existing senior executive, Yvette McEnearney, to lead the newly created 'high touch team' and welcomed several new hires.

 

The expanded team comes under the strategic direction of Andy Hurt, Regional Director, Channels for Avaya South Pacific who said, "We have significantly strengthened our local channel team with these appointments. Avaya's overarching strategy will expand its channel partner programme to better meet the demands of customers and prospects in a challenging economic climate."

 

Yvette McEnearney will lead the high touch team within the channel business, and her role is focused on bringing Avaya closer to its top customers by increasing support for local channel partners. As part of the high touch model, McEnearney will engage Avaya's local channel partners to set strategy on customer accounts and identify targeted opportunities to maintain Avaya's strategic momentum.

 

Based in Sydney, McEnearney has over ten years experience in the IT industry including 5 years with Avaya where she helped double the size of Avaya's Platinum channel partner, NSC, in 4 years.

 

New additions to the team include Sally Rowe and Sigi Hill. Prior to her new role, Rowe worked at Telstra, and previously managed her own consulting practice and also gained experience at Sirius. Hill is focused on expanding Avaya's relationships with local service providers and joins the organisation from Express Data.
