Objectworld Unified Communications Server Now Rated "Avaya Compliant"

Objectworld Communications Corp. announced its Objectworld Unified Communications Server software is compliant with key IP Office solutions from Avaya.

OTTAWA - Objectworld Communications Corp., a leading unified communications vendor, today announced that its Objectworld Unified Communications Server software is compliant with key IP Office solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

Objectworld UC Server helps customers drive productivity, cut costs and streamline and automate customer responsiveness by adding unified communications capabilities to customers' existing phone systems. Key features include multi-PBX support, unified messaging for voice and fax (with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, Google Gmail and IMAP compliant servers), built-in fax server, Windows-based personal call control, point-and-click system administration using Microsoft Active Directory; and drag-and-drop visual service creation environment for auto attendants, IVR, outbound dialing, and personal business assistants.

Certified in the past for previous versions of Avaya IP Office, the software application is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with the most recent version of IP Office, version 4.2, using TAPI-WAVE or TAPI/Analog in a centralized unified communications environment.

"Objectworld puts a tremendous emphasis on providing customers with the most flexible and interoperable unified communications solutions in the market today," said David Levy, Objectworld's president and chief executive officer. "Objectworld UC Server's interoperability with Avaya IP Office, as well as our shared commitment to open, standards-based platforms, allows customers to incorporate the best new communications technologies while cost-effectively leveraging their existing infrastructure, and providing business partners with an opportunity to deliver an end-to-end solution that provides extraordinary value during these difficult economic times."

One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of Objectworld and Avaya solutions is Wall Street Systems (WSS), a business that is widely recognized for its treasury support products that help companies better manage their cash reserves and foreign exchange, as well as reduce transaction costs for customers. It also offers a series of services, including a 24-hour help center, account management and professional consultants. Each service offers the necessary technical support and a day-to-day liaison with WSS professionals. Superior communication with customers is a mission-critical need for the company.

The installation of WSS's IP Office system with Objectworld UC Server at the company's Manhattan headquarters was completed in just six weeks by Avaya Partner Consultedge. Objectworld UC Server cost less than 10% of WSS's $80,000 budget for their telecommunication system. "It is hard to put an exact ROI figure on the product because it is hard to put a dollar value on things like improved productivity and customer responsiveness," said Jerry McConnell, technology manager with Wall Street Systems. "Let me just say that the Objectworld software was not a significant cost outlay and it is well worth the money spent." For more information, see the Case Study at

Objectworld has been a member of the Avaya DevConnect program for seven years. DevConnect is an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, Objectworld is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

"Companies like Objectworld are expanding the choices available to Avaya customers," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "With a broad selection of standards-based solutions that are compliance-tested for interoperability, businesses can use communications strategically in their operations and make critical information readily available to both clients and employees."
