Nuance Communications SpeechAttendant 11 is now "Avaya Compliant"

Nuance Communications announced that its SpeechAttendant 11 is compliant with the open, extensible IP platform infrastructure from Avaya.


BURLINGTON, Mass. - Nuance Communications, a leading provider of speech technology, today announced that its SpeechAttendant 11, a speech-enabled auto attendant solution for corporate directories, is compliant with the open, extensible IP platform infrastructure from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.


SpeechAttendant is a part of Nuance's Employee Productivity Suite (EPS), an integrated application suite that combines speech-enabled auto attendant and directory services to enable organizations to improve employee self-sufficiency and increase productivity, while reducing cost in the IT and telecommunication departments. In addition to Nuance's market-leading SpeechAttendant solution, which brings the efficiency of voice access to an organization’s public telephone system, Nuance EPS includes three additional modules for enhancing organizational communications, improving business processes, and increasing employee productivity. These modules include Password Reset, Internal Dialer Module and Emergency/Event Notification.


Given that SpeechAttendant 11 with SIP interface is now compliance-tested with Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.0 SP1 and Avaya Aura Session Manager 6.0 SP1, and SpeechAttendant 11 with digital interface is now compliance-tested with Avaya Aura Communication Manager 6.0 SP1, Nuance is able to bring an even more powerful enterprise application to the VoIP market.

As a Platinum member of the program, Nuance is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab, where a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
