China's Firth Jinling Grand Hotel Deploys Avaya IP Office for Enhanced Guest Services


Avaya announced that Firth Jinling Grand Hotel has deployed Avaya IP Office Server Edition to facilitate efficient collaboration among staff in helping them to deliver first-rate guest experience.

Beijing, China – Avaya, a global provider of business communications and collaboration systems and services, announced that Firth Jinling Grand Hotel, which opened for business in September 2013, has deployed Avaya IP Office Server Edition to facilitate efficient collaboration among staff in helping them to deliver first-rate guest experience.

The 23-story Firth Jinling Grand Hotel has become a new landmark building in Yangzhong City in the southern Chinese province of Jiangsu. It is also the first 5-star hotel in the city, targeting mainly business travelers and business conferences. The hotel is determined to provide superior guest experiences, and a feature-rich and easy-to-manage communications system is critical to achieve this goal.

Avaya IP Office Server Edition provides rich communications features to hotel staff. They can easily do multi-party conferencing and call forwarding on their desk phones, and can join ‘meet-me’ conferencing easily from any location. In addition, mobile staff can "bring" these features with them thanks to Avaya one-X Mobile. They can access these same features from their smart handsets, and can be reached by a single number no matter where they are.  As a result, they are always responsive to requirements of hotel guests to provide prompt services.

The communications system is closely integrated with the Property Management System, which enables the hotel to provide more personalized services.  For example, when a guest calls for service, information about the guest is instantly available to the staff who is answering the call, which helps make every guest interaction personal.

Management of the system is very simple. IT staff can centrally manage the whole system from a web-based intuitive interface, and easily detect any potential issues that could affect system performance. Time savings are considerable. If there is a need to change extension numbers for staff, for example, it can be accomplished within seconds.
