SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Avaya Holdings Corp. (NYSE: AVYA) has been recognized with the Frost
& Sullivan 2018 Competitive Strategy Innovation and
Leadership Award in the Latin America Enterprise Communications Industry.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that has
leveraged competitive intelligence to successfully execute a strategy
resulting in stronger customer satisfaction, market share and
competitive brand positioning. The award recognizes the strong overall
performance of Avaya’s cloud communications strategy and solid
development program designed to respond to the new demands of customers
in the region during 2018. Galib Karim, VP of Avaya Americas
International was presented the award at a ceremony held in San Diego,
California.
“To achieve excellence in competitive strategy is never an easy task,
but it is one made even more difficult considering today’s competitive
intensity, customer volatility, and economic uncertainty—not to mention
the difficulty of innovating in an environment of escalating challenges
to intellectual property,” said David Frigstad, President, Frost &
Sullivan. “This award signifies a great accomplishment for Avaya.”
Frost & Sullivan’s independent research
shows that while the CAPEX-based segment of EC has declined, cloud-based
solutions are projected to experience solid growth going forward. Market
participants looking to remain relevant to their customers and partners
need to adapt to new market trends and customer expectations, which
means adjusting their value proposition almost yearly.
During the last two years Avaya has significantly accelerated its pace
of innovation, especially in cloud-based communications solutions. The
company also introduced significant advances in leveraging artificial
intelligence (AI) in its solutions, including AI-based virtual agent,
Avaya AvaTM. Additionally, the integration of enhanced team
collaboration capabilities into its state-of-the-art conferencing
client, Equinox Meeting Online, was cited as competitive strength. The
company has also been working on several initiatives to become
synonymous with communications in the cloud for customers in the Latin
American market with Avaya Private Cloud Services (APCS) and its
"Powered by" program which has garnered broad acceptance and
demonstrated growing success in the region.
"By building a strong cloud communications strategy and a robust
development program to constantly respond to customers´ evolving
demands, Avaya has a clear path to future growth opportunities in the
Latin American enterprise communications market, providing our customers
with solutions tailored to their needs and budgets,” said Galib Karim,
VP of Avaya Americas International. “We thank Frost & Sullivan for
giving us this recognition in an industry where there are more and more
participants every day and to our business partners, clients and work
teams because together we are changing the way we do business in the
region."
According to Frost & Sullivan, Avaya is widely recognized among its
customers in Latin America not only for the superior performance of its
products, but also for its industry-leading customer service experience.
